Fiesta "Success!"

This was our 4th Fiesta Parade at school but the FIRST one where no kids ended crying when mommy had to leave. Also it was a BIG year because this was the first time Carter got to make and bring a REAL FIESTA float!
First came Addie and then Carter!
Aunt Erin and Ya Ya were in the crowd for support.
Carter's float theme was TOY STORY and we kept all the colors purple, white and green!
Addie's class theme for the parade was the SPURS!!! She practiced ALL week at home yelling, "GO TEAM GO!"

Carter's 2nd Season of Soccer!

Wow! What a difference a year makes!
We can't say enough about the coach's we have and the level of parent involvement on our field each practice and game. It is typical to see between 6-9 dads on the field  helping out and making sure everyone is paying attention.
Carter and Cash getting some last minute coaching from Coach Allen.
Last weekend, we were lucky to have Aunt Erin, Matt and MeMe in town to witness the amazing game Carter had.
It was time for Carter to show us all what he could do...
We are playing with the same group of boys from school that we had playing basketball with us over the winter and added about 5 more from his same class. We have nearly every single class-mate on the team and it has made for a phenomenal way to get to know each and every parent in Carter's class. We are spending not only game Saturdays together but Tuesday afternoon practices as well!
The highlight after each game... the "parent tunnel" and SNACKS!!

PaPa Lance and Karen!

We were so excited when PaPa called and said they were coming to San Antonio for a visit. The kids were also surprised when it turned into "Christmas in April." Lance and Karen had decided they wanted to get all the grandkids a trampoline and I have to say that I was a bit hesitant for numerous reasons, but in the end, now that it is here and have seen the kids on it for hours, I am estatic and think it's a great addition to the Brown backyard.
 Carter telling PaPa thank you!
Trying it out for the very first time...
Addie sealing her gratitude with a sweet kiss...
It was also a bounce house weekend at our house, no needless to say, we have been outside ALL weekend long and as a result, have 2 VERY worn out kids!
Last night, before going to bed, Addie just wanted to cuddle with her PaPa!.

It's Been A While!

Megan and the kids came over Friday night for dinner. Mike is in the worst part of tax season and we have only seen rare sightings of him in the last couple of months... kinda like "Big Foot!" We know they are all ready to be back to the non-tax season norm but in the mean time, we loved spending the evening with the 3 of them. We had lots of fun on the Bounce House and in the baby pool...
This was the first time that Carter was finally able to interact and "play" with Easton!  They had a blast playing with the Roomba and chasing each other around, both crawling and walking. Carter even tried to carry Easton a couple of times. I see a bright future for these 2 over the next couple of years.
 It was bath time!
 They practiced their bubble blowing!
Then it was book reading and cuddle time...
Finally, Blake carried Ella to the car, ending a near perfect Friday night evening. Next time, we just need Mike!

Ainsley Boerckel!

We got a surprise visit Friday afternoon from the 3 week old "Austin-ite" and her momma! We were so excited to get to meet her and see how beautiful she is. Welcome to the world Miss Ainsley.

T.G.I.F. has a whole new meaning!

This is the first time in 3 years, since I have been part time, that I have worked Fridays. I recently changed up my working schedule, which has left me saying TGIF for the first time in ages! So we celebrated a hard week's work by bringing out the baby pool and BBQing!
I think it is safe to say, we are on the 13 day countdown till the pool opening party!
