Day 3 - Sledding and More Skiing!

We woke up Monday morning to SNOW!!!!
In the mornning, we all headed sledding however we only good find a tube!
We slope was less than ideal but Blake and I got a workout pushing the kids, anyways.

So then at lunch again, Meme, Blake and Carter headed back up the mountain to ski while Addie and I had a fun girls afternoon... she got to choose to go anywhere she wanted in Park City... can you guess where she chose???
The Park, of course!!
Carter did incredibly skiing again, after a few greens, he told Blake he was really ready for BLUES this time. He was for real; it was like it clicked and he was off... the mogals, the steapness, the mogals AND the steapness... none of it bothered Carter! He was an offical skier!

Randomness From Park City.

Addie is definitely not shy in front of the camera.

Carter didn't ever want to stop skiing. When he wasn't skiing, he was talking about going.
Each morning at 7AM on the dot (when Carter knows he can get out of bed for the day,) he would open our door and this is how he would look. Not just dressed with his ski clothes on but complete with his helmet and goggles. We seriously thought lifts were open at 7:01 AM.
One of the mornings, I had him take a picture of the view from the other direction. Three sleepy people trying to wake up for the day.

Day 2 Skiing: The Canyons!!

After the park, Blake, Carter and I took off and jumped on our hotel's own gondola that took us up to the Canyon Resort base. After quite a work out the first day, Meme decided to stay home with Addie and enjoy the snow.
Carter had been BEGGING all morning to get to the mountain.
I was truly shocked that here on the second day, Blake and I were skiing with our five year old. We went down some greens for a while and then we tried some much steeper BLUES. That was a little hard for Carter. So we returned Carter to the GREENS and Blake and I took turns going and doing some harder stuff. It worked out perfectly!

Carter started getting more and more confident with the runs and then started going up the sides of the runs into the trees. He also was trying to ski on one ski... it was then we knew he was ready for some BLUES.
We LOVED the vibe at the Canyons Resort, they had great music on and all these beach chairs lining the edge of the snow where everyone was hanging out waiting for friends and sun bathing.
They also had stage set up with live music, food stands all around, a really great place to ski!
After Addie woke up from a good nap, they came up and enjoyed the rest of the early evening playing in the snow and people watching.

Day 2: Morning At The Park

We found a great breakfast place in Park City and then the wonderful Park City Park. Addie was in heaven and we explored this place, complete with a river and skate board park for over an hour, before getting back to hit the slopes by noon!

My beautiful mother-in-law.

I'm pretty sure Addie was yelling, "I'm SUPER ADDIE!!!"

More Than Just Skiing!

Each and every afternoon, we would hit the pool and hot tub. Even with the pool heated, Blake, Meme and I avoided putting a toe in that pool and stuck to the hot tub near by.

Each afternoon, the hotel had a smore bar set up complete with a candy & hot chocolate table...
One of Addie and my's favorite features were the jazzuzi tubs in the bathrooms. Probably the most bubbles I have ever seen each night!
