First Lobster (Both Pet & Dinner)!

Lolli & Pops invited us over for a Seafood dinner.
While we steamed the mussels, we played with the four lobsters from Maine.
Addie couldn't get enough of these little things and before we knew it, had 25+ empty shells in front of her.
I was so proud of my baby girl.
I was so proud of Carter too!
More fun with the lobsters... the old rule of "no playing with food," was void that night!
He even helped cook our crab cakes, which Addie "tore-up!" (One of her newer favorite sayings!)
Waiting patiently for 8 minutes...
To enjoy the sweetest, most perfect tasting Lobster, ever! They loved every single bite. We were so proud of them and how they embraced everything.

Christmas Morning: Santa Came!

Carter awoke around 7:30 AM and patiently waited for his sister to wake up.
At 8AM, the patience wore off and we allowed him to go in and wake her up... she wasn't as excited about Santa in that moment but quickly came around after a big stretch.
Stockings are traditionally first in our home...
Santa even left mom a Justin Bieber musical toothbrush to jam to morning and night.
Soon, it was upstairs to see what else Santa had left.
A pillow pet... I feel like this is going to be one of those decade 2000 items, we laugh at in twenty years.
This fall season, Addie has really been into footie pajamas and Santa brought her a new princess one... before we knew it, she had it on!
Addie cleaning up some of Santa's crumbs...
For the 5th year, my dad, a.k.a. "pops" joined us early morning for Santa's gift opening.

More Fun On Christmas With Pops!

One of Addie's other very favorite gifts from Santa was her Moon Sand!
Pops brought Carter his first automatic ball thrower (I don't know the technical name) and tons of other real baseball gear that Carter loved. He is officially in training for his first season of T-ball which will start in the Spring after basketball! He couldn't be more excited and was making contact with the ball coming at him within just a few minutes.
Carter doesn't yet know what a great "coach" he has in his "Pops" but will one day. His Pops was an awesome baseball player that played in college at St. Mary's. I remember, as a child, watching him play in his adult leagues similar to what Blake does now.

Labor Day BBQ with Lolli & Pops

With a 18 year old daughter, Lolli and Pops don't have too many toddler friendly toys in the house so the cool exercise equipment instantly became a hit!
Pops played with the kids the whole night, from the ab-cruncher to H.O.R.S.E.
Then it was time for the former St. Mary's Collegic Baseball Player to show Carter how to field some "grounders" and "pop-ups." Carter was so focused on baseball that we had to make him come in after it become pitch black! What a great Labor Day!
The cheering crowd.
