23 months for Addie = ?

CRAZY HAIR!
OUTDOOR WOMAN and QUITE THE EATER! She can go walk around the backyard completley by herself for 45 minutes. She will throw the balls for the dogs and then walk to the far end of the yard and help Smokey find them.
BEAUTIFUL yet GOOFY!
DARE DEVIL! I was fixing dinner in the kitchen this week and Addie said, "Mama... mama... look!" This is what I found...
Her absolute passion the last month has been Megan's belly and the "baby" inside. She wakes up and goes to bed at night singing about, "Mama, Da-da, Buba, Ella & Ella's Mommy's Baby."
She talks Megan into pulling up her shirt any chance she can get! I ABSOLUTLEY LOVE THIS PICTURE of Megan and Addie!
Addie - your 23rd month has been so good in so many ways, but this month has brought on a not-so-good thing. (But we won't ruin this fun post with too many details... I'll save those for later!)

Carter: Fabolous at 40!

MONTHS that is!
This continues to be an incredible age for Carter. One that we love, Love, LOVE! He is a joy to be around majority of the time. His memory is getting so sharp and he loves saying funny words any chance he can get. Sports and balls continue to be a focus and we find it funny how every night he wants to sleep with something different... a plastic bracelet, Coyote stuffed animal, a "Nemo" house shoe, a football helmet, a jersey or perhaps the newest little plastic wind up toy he got to choose in the "prize box" at school for being good.  Also, over the last 2 months, he is obsessed with his clock in his room. As part of the ritual of tucking him in bed for naps or at bed-time, we must bring over his clock (digital) and he wants to tell us the exact time it is. One cool thing that he has learned by doing this, as an examples, say the time is 8:31, he used to say "eight-three-one."  He now knows how to pronounce it correctly as "eight-thirty-one!"
The story behind this picture is last weekend, he was flipping through a Consumer Reports magazine and found this "MILK" add and wanted to know what was on Jerry O'Connell's face and why he had a "milk mustache?"
After I explained why, he immediatlely wanted to make one on himself. (This is what I caught in the bathroom.) He was holding the glass of milk up to his mouth for over 60 seconds thinking that it would make it darker. Over and over again.
That is our 3 year old...

What a Hug!

While dropping Addie off at her room on Friday this hug came out of no where... and I had time to notice it, pull out my camera, turn it on and take pictures from 360 degrees.... CRAZY STUFF but I'll take it! :)

What Goes Up, Must Come Down...

Just a mere 16 months ago, Santa brought Carter this goal....
Over the last 6 months and thousands of hours of use, we have been fighting gravity...
So Carter earned some money by doing chores around the house and pooled some of his Easter money from Mema and borrowed $20 bucks from us to purchase a new goal on-line!
So not to worry.... the 4 hour a day practices can continue in the Brown house!

Hey Addie... Who's Your Boyfriend?!?

This past week while we were sitting at dinner, Addie was talking about her friend Jack. No big deal except she kept saying something after "Jack" that we couldn't understand... it sounded something like "Nikki." We finally figured out that she was saying his whole name, "JACK PUTNIKI." We have been laughing ever since!

PaPa Lance Came to San Antonio!

PaPa came to town late Friday night and was up early in the morning to greet the kids! He spent the entire day with us and a beautiful day it was, all around! Carter had his 2nd soccer game, a trip to the driving range, we ate lunch at Longhorn Cafe, and the rest of the day spent outside at the park and on the tennis courts!
3 generations of Brown's!
Carter waiting his turn to play during the game.
A future double's team in the making?

The Friendship Strengthens!

Over 22 months these 2 girls have become so mobile and energetic. With Mike working so many late nights during tax season, we have had Ella and Megan over 1-2X a week over the last couple of months for dinner, play & bath time and as a result the girls have given us so many unplanned and fun picture opportunities. The catch being KEEPING UP WITH THEM! I am not kidding but ALL of the photos here were taken within 30 minutes and we were literally running at times to keep up with them!
Megan - we have so enjoyed spending so much time with you and Ella over the last few months "hanging out" waiting for Baby Perkins!

Remarkable Change.

19 months later.
God is TRULY AMAZING in how He works!
I wonder if we will be able to stick them in here when they are 30 years old?!?!?

Masters Sunday

Our incredible neighbors across the street came over yesterday with a surprise for Carter, in an official Masters bag and all, this awesome t-shrit. Thank you to Corky and Evelyn for going out of your way to bring a smile to all of our faces.
It was just last year, they delivered this Masters shirt to Blake. (It is one of his very favorites!)
Before coverage began this afternoon, we got a little practice of our own in. Addie said, "Guys.... wait for meeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!"
This is the awesome sign the Metcalf's gave Blake this year for his birthday!
By 1PM, the guys were parked on the couch awaiting the "Welcome to Sunday at the Masters" opening on TV.
