The BIG 3-0 for Blake

February has been a busy month for us because Blake turned 30 and I threw him a BIG surprise party with 50 of his family and friends. His mom, brother Clint, sister Heather, and brother-in-law Chris, all made the long trip in to surprise him at Longhorn Cafe. Megan and Mike Perkins were in on it and helped me get him there without ever figuring anything out.

They got him with silly string when he walked in...

Carter taking it all in, of course with a ball in hand!

Clint and Scott came all the way in to celebrate! Blake was so surprised.

They all 3 share February 21 for their birthday's.

Carter is such an incredibly HUGE "daddy's boy" at this age!

Carter at 14 months! Look at these dark beautiful eyes...

Later that weekend, we all went to Freebirds for lunch!

Also, this month, Blake and I helped host a "Couple's Baby Shower" for Megan and Mike and "Baby Perkins!" We still don't know what they are having... I hope for a little girl for Addie to grow up with. ;)

Happy New Year - 2008 Is Going To Be A Busy One!

Carter is 13 months now and growing like a weed. He absolutely LOVES all balls and is beginning to stand and bounce a basketball several times in a row.
This is a Dallas Cowboys shirt that was Blake's, when he was a little boy...
His hair has finally started to grow and he got his first hair cut last month on his first birthday.

I am 6 months pregnant along with Megan Perkins. Kelly Boerckel is about 6 weeks ahead of us. We enjoyed a couples' night out this month!

Aunt Alli came all the way in from Houston to see us this month, as well... so sweet!

It's A GIRL!!!!

We found out a couple of days after Christmas that we are having a GIRL! I screamed so incredibly loud in disbelief during the sonogram and then Blake and I both started crying. It was one of the memories in life I will never forget!

With in hours, I had an inspiration for her room. The inspiration piece is the gorgeous vertical stripe silk curtains I bought with my very first paycheck when I started with Lilly in Feb. 2004. I had this idea just pop into my head of putting raised permanent diamonds around the entire room and then painting them different colors. We will soon see how the idea looks in reality compared to what is in my head!

Christmas Day!

Christmas morning began with "Pops" coming over in the morning to open presents.
At 1 year old... your favorite thing was the boxes by far!

Then we headed over to Ya-Ya and Grandpa's for Christmas Day lunch!

(Macy and Marshall love Carter so much!)

Christmas Eve With The Brown Men!

Papa Lance and Uncle Clint came in for Christmas Eve to see us. It was so special having them here although it was just for a short time. It meant a lot to us that they made the long drive to be able to spend Christmas with Carter!

Aunt Erin even came by to say hell0!

First Haircut!

I don't know if he really needed it but Blake and I were all excited about taking Carter for his very first hair cut right around his first birthday. This was the before...

During...

And the after! He was so good and loved watching the Barney video and playing with the balloons while sitting in the airplane.
So handsome!

2007 Christmas Card!

I look forward every year to Christmas cards, both receiving them from friends and family as well as coming up with a fun one for us. This idea popped into my head this summer and it took many many shots to get one. But I loved it! Merry Christmas friends and family!

Carter Meeting Santa For The First Time

At 12 months old, Carter wasn't too sure what to think about Santa for the very first time.

Finally a picture of them both smiling.

John Deere Tractor

This afternoon was Great Grandma Adelle's (Joe's mom) birthday party in Somerset, TX. You had lots of fun with Aunt Erin and playing on the family's 1949 John Deere!
