End Of A Successful Season.

Although I had the worst possible lens on my camera for indoor action shots, I got some good pictures to remember Carter and basketball at this age. There is nothing more to say about Carter and basketball, other than, he just gets the game.
He gets the shooting...
He gets the passing...
He defintley gets the hustling...
He gets the practicing and conditioning...
He gets the part to always keep it fun!
He gets the offense and dribbling...
He gets it not to let a larger player intimate him and to always know where the basket is...
He gets the defense part without a doubt...
Most importantly, he gets the celebration part after he scores every basket...
Such a great season and I am so proud of both Carter and "Coach Brown!"
Next year, we may have 2 players on the same team!
We celebrated with a fun trip to BIGZ where Blake handed out the medals.

Quadruple Date Night!

We left the 8 kids (all 4 years and under) at home and headed out for a much needed adult night on the town and tried out the trendy new San Antonio downtown hot spot - Luke's... very tasty, before heading to the rodeo.

Deep Thoughts With Carter Brown

Over the last 3 weeks, Carter's little brain has taken a another huge leap forward. He wants to "discuss his day," each night before going to bed. He reflects on his day, walks through the day step by step and asks some very interesting questions. One night, these were just a couple I over heard...

What happens if you never ever ever sleep?
Dad, I really want it to snow again like it did the day.
If you fall in a frozen lake, will you get frozen?

There are 2 reasons I adore the picture above.  First, you can see on Carter's face how seriously he is listening to Blake's profound answers. Secondly, Blake's massive black circles under his eyes remind me of last week when this picture was snapped and how Blake had landed at 7:40 PM, after 2 incredibly long days traveling, as he does every week. He had raced home, dropped everything and gave 100% of his energy to Carter. Incredible.

Chances Are...

... you will find Addie at her new "desk" in our recently remodeled office. She spends hours here making cards, playing with stickers and coloring. She is turning into quite the crafty girl over the last month!

First Mother/Daughter Weekend!

Addie and I broke all the rules this past weekend. We stayed out both nights till after 10 PM and slept in the same bed for both nap and bedtime! We litterally didn't leave each other's side for 48 FULL hours and it was AWESOME! Megan posted some great pictures on her blog and here are a few of my favorites from our "Girls Only Best Friend Day" on Saturday.
We weren't going to let a little rain ruin our fun day!
This was Addie and my's first visit to the San Antonio Children's Museum.
Over the last 6 weeks, Addie LOVES to introduce herself, "My name is Addie Brown. What is your name?"
The mini HEB grocery store is by far the BEST part!
A little girl's dream to get to play register and actually scan her items for real to check out!

Blake is 33!

The kids and I woke up early and let daddy sleep in while we snuck off to one of his favorite breakfast taco places to get him his favorite Birthday Morning Breakfast.
After cake, I called Blake upstairs to give him his new luggage.  I know... what a great birthday present right??? He had just returned from a big guys golf weekend so don't feel too bad for him. ;)
Maverick smelled something in the bags and told Blake to open them up.
And inside..... what did he find??!?! The two BEST presents ever.
They thought that was pretty cool!
